SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That Section(s) 2-404 of Article - Health -

Environmental of the Annotated Code of  Maryland be renumbered to
be Section(s) 2-405.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of
Maryland read as follows:

Ambient Air Quality - Permits and
Registrations - Hearings

FOR the purpose of requiring the Department of Health and Mental
Hygiene, before issuing a permit or registration that allows
certain permits that allow a person to do certain acts that
may cause emissions in the air, to give notice of the
application, to hold Department's intended action, to give
an opportunity for a public hearing, and to issue or deny
the permit or registration within a certain time period;
providing for the application of this Act: providing a
certain exception; and generally relating to hearings for
the issuance of a permit or registration concerning ambient
air quality control.
