(D) (E) ADVISORY OPINIONS.

THE DIVISION DIRECTOR MAY PROVIDE ADVISORY OPINIONS ON
CONFLICTS OF INTEREST ON REQUEST.

(F) DUTY TO NOTIFY BOARD.

(1) THE DIVISION DIRECTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS OF PENDING DECISIONS OR ACTIONS THAT RELATE TO
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BOARD UNDER § 8-203(B) OF THIS
TITLE.

(2) THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS SHALL HAVE A
REASONABLE OPPORTUNITY TO REV1EW AND COMMENT ON THE PENDING
D
ECISIONS AND ACTIONS.

8-304. [Staff of] DEPUTY Division Director.

(a) [Deputy director - Appointment; responsibility to
Division Director; application of Merit System Law] APPOINTMENT.

[(1)] With the approval of the Secretary, the
Division Director shall appoint a deputy DIVISION director.

[(2)] (B) RESPONSIBILITY TO DIVISION DIRECTOR.

The deputy DIVISION director serves at the pleasure of the
Division Director and is an employee of the Division [of Savings
and Loan Associations] DIRECTOR'S OFFICE.

[(3) The State Merit System Law does not apply to the
deputy director. However, if the deputy director is appointed
from among the classified employees of the Division of Savings
and Loan Associations, oh termination of the appointment as
deputy director, the employee is entitled to restoration of all
rights previously held under the Merit System Law before the
appointment.]

(C)  QUALIFICATIONS.

THE DEPUTY DIVISION DIRECTOR SHALL HAVE EXPERIENCE IN STATE
OR NATIONAL REGULATION OR MANAGEMENT OF FINANCIAL ORGANIZATIONS,
WHICH MAY INCLUDE SERVICE AS A BANK OR SAVINGS AND LOAN
ASSOCIATION DIRECTOR OR OFFICER.

(D)  COMPENSATION.

THE DEPUTY DIVISION DIRECTOR IS ENTITLED TO THE SALARY
PROVIDED IN THE STATE BUDGET.

IN ADDITION TO ANY OTHER POWERS AND DUTIES SET FORTH IN THIS
