       M Bowie before Me the Subscriber a
       Justice ^of the Peace^ in and said County and Makes oath on
       the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that Negro
       Man James Brown is the same Negro willed
       free by the last will and Testament of Louisa
       Magruder and that he is about Twenty five
       years old
