       Dear Sirs
                         The Bearer of this Albert Burgess
       a yellow Man is entitled to His Freedom papers
       by Will of M.rs Althelia Mullew you well disover
       from the papers He well hand you that He is
       entitled to His Freedom papers I have known
       Albert Some 5 or 10 years as Servant in Geo H
       Lanham & past of ^the^ time Free & believe ^this^ to be
       as worthy as any Man of colour therefore
       I will take it ^as^ a particular favour of you if
       you will give Him His Freedom papers
