             to wit
             I certify that on this 6.th day of
       December 1842 personally appeared
       before me the subscriber
       a Justice of the Peace of the ^said^ County
       William P Hall and made oath
       on the Holy Evangely of Almighty
       God that negro woman Rachael
       Duckett, aged thirty one years, of
       dark complexion, five feet one
       and a half inches high a scar
       on her right hand near the middle
       finger ^and one of the fore teeth out^ formerly the slave of
       the late Mrs Ann Hall for a term
       of years has served out the time
       of her slavery, and is now, a
       free woman
