       State of Maryland Prince Georges County sc.t
      
       September 28.th 1837
                                           Then Came Jacob Riddle
       before me the Subscriber a Justice of the Peace
       for said County and made Oath on the Holy
       Evangely of Almighty God that Benjamin Waters
       the bearer five feet 7 or 8 Inches High 23
       years old dark Complexion and has a
       Scar on his right Rist was born and
       raised in the County and State aforesaid
       is the reputed Son of Sarah Waters who was
       manumated by John Williams of said
       County deceased upwards of thirty years
       past                                    Sworn Before
