       Dear Sir
                      The two Girl who are the bearer of
                      this Note with to ascertain if there
                      is any word of their freedom and
                      to get their certificates of the same
                      their father and Mother ^Joseph & Cate Mullin^ were purchased
                      by their Grand Father basil Mullin
                      about the years 1816 17 or 18 with the  
                      eldest girl and gave them their liberty  
                      they have been ever since free but have
                      had no certificate of their Manumition
                      please examine the records for them and
                      give them such directions as will be
                      necessary for them to pursue
