I have sent John a young Negroe man set free by Miss Ann Waring; he wants his Certificate at the Office of his freedom I send him last Summer by order of Miss Waring; but there was a mistake of one year to soon. I have sent the original manumission paper in which you will find his name, which Miss Waring sent to me last summer. I saw Miss Ann Waring last Saturday, and she told me she was going would send him down to Malbro for his papers, he pleased to return by John the Manumiss deed I send by him Aquila Beall Esq.r Yours Respectfully Clerk of Prince Georges County Court M.d Spencer Mitchell July 21 1835 I know the bearer paper of the manumission paper I have ^sent^ to be Miss Ann Warings servant the same space find in ^the^ same by name John and that he has been raised in the Miss Warings family is about 26 years old rather of dark complection his height five feet one inch and an eighth a small scar over the internal angle of the left eye Prince Georges County to wit personally appears Spencer Mitchell before me the subscriber one of the Justices of this Court in and for said county and being Duly sworn to the above Statement to be true Sworn to before me July 22.th 1835 Elisha Perry |
