             State of Maryland Prince Georges County Sc.t
       On this 9.th day of April 1855 personally appears
       Edward H Calvert before me the subscriber a
       Justice of the peace of the said State in & for said County
       and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty
       that Negro Man John Richard Peck is a free born
       person and is the reputed son of Henrietta Peck
       a free woman of Colour
