             State of Maryland Prince Georges County sct
       On the 2 day of July 1853  Personally appears before
       me the Subscriber a Justice of the peace of the Said State
       in and for said County  John B Sansbury and made
       oath on the Holy Evangely of almighty God that Daniel
       Batson a black man, is a free born person and is
       the reputed Son of Nancy Batson a free woman of
       Colour, the said Daniel Batson was born and raised
       in Piscataway District in the County and State aforesaid
