       Maryland Prince Georges County To wit
       On this 30.th day of August 1849 personally
       appeared John H Beall before the subscriber a
       Justice of the Peace in and for the state and
       County aforesaid and made oath on the
       Holy Evangely of Almighty God that negro
       Man Hanson Magruder and Nancy Jemmes
       and Louisa Addison are free persons of Color
       and became entitled to their freedom by virtue
       of their being the reputed son & daughters of
       [illegible] Matilda Magruder who was
       free ^a^ free woman of color to the best of his
       Knowledge and belief Sworn before
