          State of Maryland Prince Georges County Sc.t

       I hereby certify that negro David Hanson the bearer
       hereof a mulatto man stoutly made about
       twenty five years of age five feet seven inches
       high having a scar on the right hand near
       the thumb joint is a free person and is the Son
       of Milley Hansonalso a free person and was
       born and raised in the Town of Upper Marlbro
       in the County and State aforesaid
                                                       In Testimony &c
       Cer.t granted 12.th June 1829

       John Gray the bearer hereof a mulatto man
