       Maryland Prince Georges County Sc.t

                   I hereby certify that Patrick otherwise called
       Patrick Hamilton a black man about thirty six years of
       age five feet nine Inches and a quarter high a scar on
       his right Cheek near his nose a scar on the third finger
       of his left hand  That the said Negro Patrick is a
       free man and became Entitled to his freedom in virtue
       of a Deed of Manumission from Elisha Skinner duly
       acknowledged and record in one of the Land Record
       Books of Prince Georges County

             I hereby certify that the bearer hereof Thomas who
       calls himself Thomas Bowie a black man about

       Inches high having ^lost two Joints of his the fore^ the second finger of his right
       hand and ^a small^ a scar on his forehead that the said
       negro Thomas is a free man and became Entitled
       to his freedom in virtue of a Deed of Manumission
