        State of Maryland Prince Georges County sc.t

                I hereby certify that the bearer hereof negro Catherine
       Matthews a black woman about fifty five years of age
       five feet five inches high has a scar on the upper part
       of the breast & has lost several of her upper foreteeth that
       the said Catherine Matthews is a free woman and was born
       free in the County aforesaid

       Matthews a dark mulatto woman about twenty four years of
       age five feet one and a half inches high with a large scar
       on the front of the left shoulder which seems to have been occasioned
       by a burn a small scar on the left side of the neck &
       several small scars on the right arm near the Elbow  That
       the said Henny Matthews is a free woman and was born free
       in the county aforesaid being the daughter of Catherine Matthews
       a free woman of Colour
