       Identified   in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight

                   I hereby certify that negro Israel otherwise
       called Israel Lee the bearer hereof a black man
       about twenty five years of age five feet seven and three quarter
       inches high with a small scar on the ^right side of the^ face near the corner
       of the mouth a scar over the right eye and three small scars
       on the fore head also a small scar on the back of the right hand
       near the Joint of the wrist and two small scars on the little
       finger of the same hand that the said Israel Lee
       is a free man as appears by Manumission from Lancester
       Lee duly acknowledged and recorded in my office
       the 12.th day of March 1810

       Identified      In Testimony whereof I have hereto subscribed
       by Tho.s M Jamison   my name &.c this second day of
