184 cut and looks pleasing when spoken to is the identical man named in a Deed of Man.n from Ann Waring duly executed Rec.d in the Land Records of s.d County & bearing date the first day of June 1811 In Testimony &c certificate granted A Beall Clk Nov.r 29.th 1822 Maryland Prince Georges County to wit I hereby certify that I have received satisfactory evidence that the bearer hereof Elijah commonly called Elijah Wedge a coloured man of a dark complexion about twenty four years of age five feet seven inches high having a scar on his forehead rather over the right eye a scar on the left foot said to have been occasioned by a burn & who was raised in the neighbourhood of [illegible] Thomas Marshall is a free man being the reputed son of Eleanor Wedge a free woman of colour In Testimony &c certificate granted A N Beall Clk Nov.r 20.th 1822 (vide certificate of R H Marshall sc) |
