       Maryland Prince Georges County Sc.t

       I hereby certify that the bearer hereof Joseph
       Isaac alias Isaac Dyal a coloured man of
       somewhat light complexion about thirty years
       of age and about five feet seven or eight
       inches high having no perceptable scar
       or mark (excepting a small straight scat
       near his left eye) is a free man and
       obtained his freedom by virtue of a Deed
       of Manumission of Joseph P Elser and
       bearing date the first day of February
       Eighteen hundred and twelve and
       recorded amongst the Land Records of
       Prince Georges County

                Given under my hand and seal of Office
                   this fifth day of February in the
       (Seal)   year of our Lord one thousand eight
                   hundred and twenty one
