4-801. DEFINITIONS.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

IN THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

The only changes are in style.

(B)  BUILDING.
"BUILDING" MEANS:

(1)  ANY NEW STRUCTURE WITH AN AREA OF AT LEAST 5,000
SQUARE FEET; OR

(2)  ANY CHANGE TO AN EXISTING STRUCTURE THAT:

(I)  WILL ADD AT LEAST 10% GROSS FLOOR SPACE TO
THE STRUCTURE AND HAS AN ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST OF MORE THAN
$25,000; OR

(II)  CONSTITUTES A MAJOR RENOVATION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 78A, §
25B(d).

In item (1) of this subsection, the general word
"structure" is substituted for the former words
"building or facility", for clarity. Similarly, in
item (2) of this subsection, the word "structure" is
substituted for the former word "building", for
clarity. These substitutions are called to the
attention of the General Assembly.

(C)  ENERGY CONSUMPTION ANALYSIS.

"ENERGY-CONSUMPTION ANALYSIS" MEANS AN EVALUATION, BY TYPE
