4-503. MOVING OF PROPERTY.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

THE DEPARTMENT SHALL ADMINISTER ALL ARRANGEMENTS FOR MOVING
EXCESS PERSONAL PROPERTY OR SURPLUS PERSONAL PROPERTY.

(B)  CENTRAL LOCATION.

THE DEPARTMENT SHALL DECIDE WHETHER EXCESS PERSONAL PROPERTY
OR SURPLUS PERSONAL PROPERTY SHALL BE:

(1)  MOVED TO A CENTRAL LOCATION; OR

(2)  DISPOSED OF AT ITS PRESENT LOCATION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section formerly
appeared as Art. 41, § 234(b).

Subsection (b) of this section formerly appeared as
Art. 41, § 234(a).

In the introductory language of subsection (b) of this
section, the defined terms "excess personal property"
and "surplus personal property" are substituted for
the former word "item", for clarity.

The only other changes are in style.

4-504. DISPOSAL OF PROPERTY.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

THE SECRETARY MAY DISPOSE OF EXCESS PERSONAL PROPERTY AND
SURPLUS PERSONAL PROPERTY AS PROVIDED IN THIS SECTION.

(B)  EXCESS PERSONAL PROPERTY.

(1) WHENEVER FEASIBLE, THE SECRETARY SHALL DISPOSE OF
EXCESS PERSONAL PROPERTY BY TRANSFERRING IT TO ANOTHER UNIT OF
THE STATE GOVERNMENT.
