AN ORDINANCE concerning

Department of Transportation - Participation Agreement

FOR the purpose of authorizing Anne Arundel County,
Maryland, to enter into a Participation Agreement with the
Department of Transportation of Maryland for the purpose of
securing the payment of the principal of and interest on bonds to
be issued by the Department of Transportation of Maryland
pursuant to Sections 3-301 to 3-309, inclusive, of the
Transportation Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland, as
amended to the effective date hereof, to be designated
"Department of Transportation-County Transportation Bonds-First
Issue, Seventh Series" (the "Bonds"); and authorizing Anne
Arundel County, Maryland, to participate in the proceeds of the
Bonds in an amount not to exceed $1,500,000; and authorizing
certain officers of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, to take such
further action as may be necessary and proper to consummate the
execution and delivery of the Participation Agreement and the
issuance and sale of the Bonds.
