FOR the purpose of increasing annual registration fees;
altering provisions pertaining to the age of taxicabs; increasing
certain trip fees; and increasing minimum insurance required.

AN ORDINANCE concerning

Taxicabs

FOR the purpose of amending a definition; altering
expiration and renewal dates; increasing annual registration
fees, as enacted by Bill No. 10-84; providing administrative
sanctions for failure to maintain daily records and trip
manifest; increasing minimum insurance required; requiring that
proof of minimum insurance be filed; removing a residency
requirement; altering provisions pertaining to the age of
taxicabs; requiring that taxicabs carry certain equipment;
prohibiting taxicabs from carrying certain equipment; limiting
the number of passengers that a taxicab may carry; altering the
requirements to be met by an applicant for a taxicab driver's
license; and providing for certain testing of taximeters and for
a certain notice to passengers regarding taximeters.
