Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 1672.

This bill permits the holder of a wholesale alcoholic
beverages license to sell and deliver alcoholic beverages to a
retailer on election day in Baltimore City and Caroline and
Dorchester counties.

Senate Bill 816, which was passed by the General Assembly
and signed by me on May 21, 1985, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 1672.

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore City and Caroline and Dorchester Counties -
Alcoholic Beverages - Election Day

FOR the purpose of permitting the holder of a wholesale alcoholic
beverages license to sell and deliver alcoholic beverages to
a retailer on election day in Baltimore City and Caroline
and Dorchester counties.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section 80(a) and (b).
