SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 1650.

This bill increases the misdemeanor fine for motor vehicle
dealers and salesmen who do business without a license.

Senate Bill 740, which was passed by the General Assembly
and signed by me on May 28, 1985, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 1650.

AN ACT concerning

Vehicle Laws - Dealer's and Vehicle Salesman's Licenses

- Penalties

FOR the purpose of altering the penalty for conducting the
business of a dealer without a certain license; altering the
penalty for acting as a vehicle salesman without a certain
license; and generally relating to altering penalties for
violations of certain licensing requirements.

BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,
