(5)  subject to § 2-1312 of the State Government
Article, annually prepare a report with recommendations to the
General Assembly on the status of the Patuxent River; and

(6)  review the preparation, updating, and
implementation of the Plan developed by the Department].

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect October 1, 1985.

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 1225.

This bill would prohibit persons from intentionally
interfering with lawful hunting activities.

House Bill 375, which was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on May 28, 1985, accomplishes the same purposes.
The two bills, however, contain different exceptions and
different enforcement proceedings. Therefore, in order to avoid
conflict in the law, I have decided to veto House Bill 1225.

AN ACT concerning

Hunting - Interference with Hunters and Fishermen

FOR the purpose of prohibiting a person from willfully
obstructing or impeding any other person in certain lawful
hunting, fishing, crabbing, oystering, or clamming
activities or seasons; authorizing certain persons to obtain
an injunction to prevent a violation of this Act; allowing a
