JOINT RESOLUTIONS
RESOLVED, That the Task Force report its findings, including
short and long-term options for funding the public institutions
of higher education in the State and recommendations to the
General Assembly by December, 1985; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Governor appoint advisors to the
Commission who shall represent:
(1) The Board of Regents of the University of
Maryland;
(2) The Board of Trustees of the State Universities
and Colleges;
(3) The Board of Regents of Morgan State University;
(4) The Board of Trustees of St. Mary's College;
(5) The State Board of Community Colleges;
(6) The Maryland Independent College and University
Association; and
(7) The State Board for Higher Education; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That the Governor is requested to provide
appropriate staff resources to serve the Commission; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That the Commission make an interim report to the
Governor and the General Assembly by November 18, 1985; and a
final report by July 1, 1986; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution be forwarded by the
Department of Legislative Reference to the Honorable Harry
Hughes, Governor of Maryland; the Honorable Melvin A. Steinberg,
President of the Senate of Maryland; the Honorable Benjamin L.
Cardin, Speaker of the House of Delegates of Maryland; Thomas H.
