take effect July 1, 1985.

AN ACT concerning

Environmental Protection - Chesapeake Bay Trust

FOR the purpose of establishing a Chesapeake Bay Trust to promote
public awareness and participation in the restoration and
protection of the Chesapeake Bay; providing for the
membership of the Trust; requiring certain State agencies to
provide staff, supplies, and office space, utilizing
existing resources; authorizing the Trust to solicit and
accept certain gifts, grants, legacies, and endorsements;
providing the Trust shall award grants for certain citizen
involvement projects; providing that the Trust shall develop
certain projects to be sponsored by corporate, business, or
private interests; providing the Trust with certain other
powers and duties; authorizing the Trust to establish a
certain separate bank account for funds; exempting the Trust
from certain provisions of State law; terminating certain
provisions of this Act after a certain date; providing for
the disposition of certain funds; and generally relating to
the establishment of a Chesapeake Bay Trust.

BY adding to

Article - Natural Resources

Section 8-1901 through 8-1909 8-1910 to be under the new

subtitle "Subtitle 19. Chesapeake Bay Trust"
