THE PRESIDING OFFICERS, WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE LEGISLATIVE
POLICY COMMITTEE AND ON BEHALF OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY, MAY:
(1) FILE A PETITION FOR A DECLARATORY JUDGMENT IN THE
CIRCUIT COURT OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY SEEKING A DETERMINATION OF
THE ISSUES RAISED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE REGULATION; AND
(2) RETAIN INDEPENDENT COUNSEL FOR THE PURPOSES OF
THAT PROCEEDING.
(E) (D) A PROPOSED REGULATION OPPOSED BY THE COMMITTEE
PURSUANT TO THIS SECTION MAY NOT BE ADOPTED OR BECOME EFFECTIVE
UNTIL 15 DAYS AFTER APPROVAL, AND IS NOT EFFECTIVE UNLESS
APPROVED, BY THE GOVERNOR PURSUANT TO SUBSECTION (C)(3) OF THIS
SECTION.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.

AN ACT concerning
Montgomery County - Washington Suburban
Transit Commission
MC/PG 31A-85
FOR the purpose of altering the compensation for members of the
Washington Suburban Transit Commission for Montgomery
County; providing for certain compensation if a commissioner
of the Washington Suburban Transit Commission is a member or
an alternate of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit
Authority; prohibiting compensation for members of the
Washington Suburban Transit Commission under certain
circumstances; providing for the application of this Act;
and generally relating to the compensation for members of
the Washington Suburban Transit Commission.
