membership that has not cast a vote either during the election
being conducted or at least once during the past 3 years.]

A consumer cooperative may provide for the donation of any
surplus at the time of a dissolution, liquidation, or sale of
assets to any organization to which a deductible contribution may
be made, according to the Internal Revenue Code.]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if any provision
of this Act or the application thereof to any person or
circumstance is held invalid for any reason, the invalidity shall
not affect the other provisions or any other application of this
Act which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or
application, and to this end all the provisions of this Act are
declared to be severable.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.

AN ACT concerning
University of Maryland - Sale of Property
FOR the purpose of providing that the University of Maryland may,
with the approval of the Board of Public Works, sell certain
property located in Prince George's County; and providing
that proceeds from the sale of that property under this Act
may be used, subject to certain approval, to purchase
additional property or facilities for the use of the
University and shall not be applied to the annuity bond fund
account.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
With the approval of the Board of Public Works, the
University of Maryland may sell to the Washington' Metropolitan
Area Transit Authority any part of the property located near
Calvert Road located in the City of College Park, in the 21st
election district of Prince George's County. Money received from
