LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 717

The former second sentence of subsection (h) of this
section, which required the money to be disbursed as
provided in Md. Constitution, Art. III, §§ 32 and 52
and Art. 15A of the Code, is deleted as unnecessary in
light of the usual budgetary process and, in light of
the revision of parts of Art. 15A in the State
Finance and Procurement Article, as partially
obsolete.

495.

(e) All funds received as a result of the issuance or
renewal of certificates of registration shall be paid [over to
the State Treasurer, and shall become general funds] INTO THE
GENERAL FUND of the State. [Such moneys shall thereafter be
disbursed by the Comptroller only pursuant to an appropriation
made in accordance with §§ 32 and 52 of Article III of the
Constitution or pursuant to the provisions of §§ 1 through 15,
inclusive, of Article 15A of this Code, title "Budget and
Procurement," as amended from time to time.]

REVISOR'S NOTE: Chapter ____, Acts of 1985, amended

subsection (e) of this section, to make a stylistic
change in the first sentence and to delete the second
sentence.

In subsection (e) of this section, the requirement to
pay money "into the General Fund" is substituted for
the former requirement that the money be paid "over to
the State Treasurer, and ... become general funds", to
conform to references elsewhere in the Code and to
reflect that, in practice, State units directly
deposit moneys with the depositaries that the
Treasurer designates.

The former second sentence of subsection (e) of this
section, which required the money to be disbursed as
provided in Md. Constitution, Art. III, §§ 32 and 52
and Art. 15A of the Code, is deleted as unnecessary in
light of the usual budgetary process and as the
referenced sections of Art. 15A were all repealed with
the enactment of the State Finance and Procurement
Article.

536.

(h) The money received under this section shall be paid [to
the State Treasurer and shall become general funds] INTO THE
GENERAL FUND of the State. [The money shall thereafter be
disbursed by the Comptroller pursuant only to an appropriation
made in accordance with §§ 32 and 52 of Article III of the
Constitution or under §§ 1 through 15, inclusive, of Article 15A
of this Code, title "Budget and Procurement", as amended.]
