glasses, or central visual acuity of more than 20/200 if there is
a field defect in which the peripheral field has contracted to
such an extent that the widest diameter of visual field subtends
an angular distance no greater than 20 degrees on the better eye;
[and]

(16)  To the extent included, amounts received by
individuals under Title II of the Social Security Act or Tier I
benefits under the Railroad Retirement Act; AND

(17)  ANY AMOUNT INCLUDED IN FEDERAL ADJUSTED GROSS

INCOME UNDER § 132 § 62 OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE FOR AN

EMPLOYER-PROVIDED OFFICIAL VEHICLE USED IN ACCORDANCE WITH LAW,
BY ANY MEMBER OF A STATE, COUNTY, OR LOCAL:

(I)  POLICE FORCE; OR

(II)  FIRE DEPARTMENT.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.

(House Bill 1360)

AN ACT concerning

Motor Vehicle Insurance - Coverage - Exclusions

FOR the purpose of altering the provision of law excluding
certain persons from motor vehicle insurance coverage so
that certain persons, because of claims experience, are
excluded from all coverage when operating a motor vehicle;
providing that when an excluded driver operates a motor
vehicle, all coverage extending to certain other individuals
is void; limiting the liability of an insurer when an
excluded driver operates a motor vehicle; permitting an
insurer to exclude from uninsured motor vehicle coverage
certain individuals related to, or occupying or struck by, a
person excluded from coverage because of claims experience;
providing for a certain exception; and generally relating to
motor vehicle insurance.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 48A - Insurance Code
Section 240C-1 and 541(c)(1) and (2)
Annotated Code of Maryland
