selling, or exchanging vehicles or who offers to sell
vehicles under certain circumstances; providing an exception
to certain business location and service requirements for a
wholesale dealer; prohibiting a wholesale dealer from
conducting a purchase, sale, or exchange with a retail
buyer; requiring a wholesale dealer to keep certain records;
providing for the content of a license that is issued to a
wholesale dealer; prohibiting a wholesale dealer from
applying for certain temporary registration plates;
providing the circumstances under which a wholesale dealer
may use a dealer registration plate; and generally relating
to the licensure of wholesale dealers.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Transportation

13-601.

[The](A) EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN SUBSECTION (B) OF THIS
SECTION, THE Administration may design temporary registration
plates and furnish them to any licensed dealer who:

(1)  On the form that the Administration requires,
applies for at least five of these plates; and

(2)  With the application, submits a fee of 50 cents
for each plate.

(B) A WHOLESALE DEALER MAY NOT APPLY FOR TEMPORARY
REGISTRATION PLATES.
