AN ACT concerning

Hazardous or Toxic Chemicals - Public Access to Information

FOR the purpose of providing for a procedure by which certain
members of the public can have access to certain information
on hazardous or toxic chemicals from the Department of
Health and Mental Hygiene; amending a certain law concerning
privileges and disclosures of certain information by the
Department; defining certain terms a certain term; providing
for the purpose of this Act; requiring the Department to
maintain a central repository for information on hazardous
or toxic chemicals; requiring the Department to adopt
certain rules and regulations to carry out the purposes of
this Act; requiring the Department to consult with the
Division of Labor and Industry when adopting certain rules
and regulations and to notify employers of certain requests;
generally relating to the providing of public access to
certain persons to certain information on hazardous or toxic
chemicals by the Department; providing for a delayed
effective date; and making provisions of this Act severable.

Section 6-501 through 6-504, inclusive, to be under the new

subtitle "Subtitle 5. Public Access to Information

on Hazardous or Toxic Chemicals"
