SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore County - Alcoholic Beverages Licenses

FOR the purpose of requiring the Baltimore County Board of
License Commissioners to issue limit the number of Class A
(off-sale) alcoholic beverages licenses only issued for use
in business establishments commonly known as package goods
stores having a certain primary business purpose; and
franchised or chain store operations regardless of how a
license is to be held or controlled for that operation;
providing that this Act does not affect the renewal of
existing Class A (off-sale) alcoholic beverages licenses in
Baltimore County; stating the intention of this Act; and
generally relating to a prohibition on franchised or chain
store operations in Baltimore County having an interest in
more than a certain number of Class A (off-sale) alcoholic
beverages licenses.
