Licenses - Prohibitions

FOR the purpose of prohibiting a person from duplicating,
reproducing, or producing a facsimile of, an age of
majority identification card issued by the Motor Vehicle
Administration or a driver's license; providing certain
exceptions; providing that the Motor Vehicle Administration
may apply to a circuit court of this State for certain
injunctions; and generally relating to prohibitions of the
duplication, reproduction, or production of facsimiles of,
age of majority identification cards or driver's license
issued by the Motor Vehicle Administration.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Transportation

16-302.

(A)  A PERSON MAY NOT DUPLICATE OR REPRODUCE THE FOLLOWING:

(1) AN AGE OF MAJORITY CARD ISSUED UNDER § 12-302 OF
THIS ARTICLE; OR

(1) ANY IDENTIFICATION CARD ISSUED UNDER THIS TITLE
BY THE ADMINISTRATION; OR

(2)  A DRIVER'S LICENSE ISSUED UNDER THIS TITLE.

(B)  A PERSON MAY NOT PRODUCE A FACSIMILE OF AN AGE OF
MAJORITY CARD IDENTIFICATION CARD ISSUED BY THE ADMINISTRATION OR
A DRIVER'S LICENSE UNLESS THE DRIVER'S LICENSE FACSIMILE IS:

(1)  IN BLACK AND WHITE; OR

(2)  LESS THAN ONE-HALF OR MORE THAN TWICE THE SIZE OF
THE AGE OF MAJORITY CARD IDENTIFICATION CARD ISSUED BY THE
ADMINISTRATION OR DRIVER'S LICENSE.

(C)  THE ADMINISTRATION MAY APPLY TO A CIRCUIT COURT OF THIS
STATE FOR AN INJUNCTION, AS PROVIDED BY THE MARYLAND RULES, TO
RESTRAIN A PERSON FROM VIOLATING OR CONTINUING TO VIOLATE ANY
PROVISION OF THIS SECTION.
