AN ACT concerning

Tax Sales - Dorchester County - Rate of Redemption

FOR the purpose of altering the rate of redemption for tax sales
in Dorchester County; providing that the County
Commissioners may fix the rate of redemption applicable to
tax sales in Dorchester County; and providing for the
effective date of this Act.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes

83.

(b) The rate of redemption is 6 percent per annum except as
follows:

(1)  In Anne Arundel County the rate is 6 percent per
annum or as fixed by ordinance of the County Council;

(2)  In Baltimore City the rate is 6 percent per annum
or as fixed by ordinance of the City Council;

(3)  In Baltimore County the rate is 6 percent per
annum or as fixed by ordinance of the County Council;

(4)  In Calvert County the rate is 10 percent per
annum or as fixed by the County Commissioners;
