AN ACT concerning

Nursing Homes - Application - Required Information

FOR the purpose of requiring a nursing home to provide certain
information in writing to a person, other than an applicant,
if the person is required to sign an. application or contract
for admission to a nursing home.

Section 19-344(b) through (p), respectively

to be Section 19-344(c) through (q), respectively

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section(s) 19-344(b) through (p), respectively, of
Article - Health - General of the Annotated Code of Maryland be
renumbered to be Section(s) 19-344(c) through (q), respectively.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of
Maryland read as follows:

(B) IF, IN ADDITION TO THE SIGNATURE OF AN APPLICANT, A
FACILITY REQUIRES THE SIGNATURE OF ANOTHER PERSON ON THE
APPLICATION OR CONTRACT FOR ADMISSION TO THE FACILITY, THE
FACILITY SHALL PROVIDE A WRITTEN STATEMENT TO BE INCLUDED IN THE
DOCUMENT OF THE RIGHTS, DUTIES, AND LIABILITIES OF THE SIGNER OF
THE DOCUMENT.
