(2) IF THE CLINIC SERVICES WITH THE NOTED STAFFING
ARE AVAILABLE LESS THAN 24 HOURS PER DAY, THE CLINIC SIGNS,
STREET SIGNS, AND ADVERTISEMENTS SHALL STATE THE EXACT HOURS THAT
THE CLINIC SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE.

(A) "FREE STANDING CLINIC" IS A MEDICAL FACILITY THAT:

(1) OFFERS MEDICAL TREATMENT OF A CONVENIENCE NATURE;
AND

(2) IS PHYSICALLY SEPARATE FROM A HOSPITAL OR
HOSPITAL GROUNDS.

(B) THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CHARLES COUNTY MAY ADOPT
REGULATIONS TO GOVERN FREE STANDING CLINICS IN CHARLES COUNTY.

(C) THE HEALTH OFFICER FOR CHARLES COUNTY SHALL:

(1) VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF
STANDARDS ADOPTED BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS; AND

(2) CONDUCT INVESTIGATIONS OF COMPLAINTS.

(D) THE REGULATIONS THAT ARE ADOPTED BY THE COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS:

(1) MAY CONTAIN A PENALTY PROVISION FOR A VIOLATION
OF ANY PROVISION OF THE REGULATIONS; AND

(2) SHALL PROVIDE FOR ENFORCEMENT PROCEDURES.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.

AN ACT concerning

Forfeiture of Currency - Local Sheriffs' Departments

FOR the purpose of clarifying provisions of law relating to
money, currency, or cash seized in gambling operations in
Baltimore City and the counties of the State to include
money, currency, or cash seized by certain local sheriffs'
departments.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
