ORDINANCES AND PLANS, RESPECTIVELY IN THAT COUNTY, THAT COVER AND
APPLY TO THE ENTERPRISES SPECIFIED IN THIS SECTION, WHICHEVER
DATE FIRST OCCURS, THE MOORING, DOCKING, ANCHORING, OR INSTALLING
OF ANY FLOATING HOME IN THE WATERS OF CALVERT, CHARLES, AND OR
ST. MARY'S COUNTIES COUNTY, RESPECTIVELY, IS PROHIBITED.
(D) A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION IN CALVERT, CHARLES, AND ST.
MARY'S COUNTIES MAY REGULATE AND RESTRICT FLOATING HOMES THAT ARE
LOCATED IN THE PLANNING AND ZONING JURISDICTION OF THE MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

AN ACT concerning
Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary's County
Commissioners - "Floating Homes"
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Commissioners of Calvert,
Charles, and St. Mary's counties to regulate and restrict
the mooring, docking, anchoring, and installing in the
waters of their respective county of any structure or vessel
which functions primarily as a land structure floating home;
providing for the enforcement of that code; defining
floating home; and providing certain penalties for
violations of that code.
