subsequent amendment to a lease or other agreement described in
clause (i) of this section irrespective of the date on which the
amendment takes effect.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1985.

CHAPTER 402

(House Bill 1091)

AN ACT concerning

Program for Hearing Impaired Infants

FOR the purpose of establishing in the Department of Health and
Mental Hygiene a program, based on a model system developed
by the Department, for the early identification and
monitoring of certain infants who have hearing impairments;
establishing an advisory council for the program; requiring
a telephone hot line communication system for a certain
purpose; providing for the council's members, their
appointments and terms of office, officers, meetings,
reimbursement, and duties; requiring a hospital and certain
persons to prepare certain reports and submit them to the
Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene; permitting the
Secretary to determine the contents of the report; requiring
the Secretary to adopt rules and regulations to carry out
the program; and generally relating to establishing and
implementing a program for hearing impaired infants.

BY adding to

Article - Health - General

Section 13-501 through 13-505 to be under the new subtitle
"Subtitle 5. Program for Hearing Impaired Infants"
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1982 Volume and 1984 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
