SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1985.

CHAPTER 394

(House Bill 1031)

AN ACT concerning

Carroll County - Alcoholic Beverages -
Board of License Commissioners

FOR the purpose of providing for the appointment of an additional
member to the Carroll County board of license commissioners
to serve as a substitute member for any regular member who
is absent or incapacitated; and providing for a salary and
term of the additional member.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 150(a)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1981 Replacement Volume and 1984 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

150.

(a) (1) In Carroll County, the Board of County
Commissioners shall appoint three persons, designating one of
them as chairman, who shall constitute the board of license
commissioners for said county; the first member of the board to
be appointed for one, two and three year terms, respectively and
their successors thereafter for terms of three years each. The
board shall meet at least once a month.

(2) (I) THE CARROLL COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS SHALL APPOINT 1 ADDITIONAL MEMBER TO THE BOARD OF
LICENSE COMMISSIONERS TO SERVE AS A SUBSTITUTE MEMBER IN THE
EVENT THAT ANY OF THE REGULAR MEMBERS ARE ABSENT OR
INCAPACITATED.
