(a) of this section is limited to the dwelling and curtilage, not
exceeding 5 acres, as determined by the supervisor.

(d) The Montgomery County, HOWARD COUNTY, or Prince
George's County property tax deferral shall be calculated on any
increase in assessment that results directly from a change in
zoning classification to a higher intensity use and that was
initiated by a government.

(e) The governing body of Montgomery County, OF HOWARD
COUNTY, or of Prince George's County determines the time period
that the payment of Montgomery County, HOWARD COUNTY, or Prince
George's County property tax may be deferred.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 1 of
this Act shall take effect June 1, 1985 and shall remain
effective until February 1, 1986. On February 1, 1986, and with
no further action required by the General Assembly, Section 1 of
this Act shall be abrogated and of no further force and effect.
Section 2 of this Act shall take effect February 1, 1986.

AN ACT concerning

Higher Education - Tuition Assistance - Areas of Critical Need

FOR the purpose of altering the meaning of "nondegreed degreed
recipient" for purposes of determining eligibility to
receive certain tuition assistance to enroll in programs to
teach in areas of critical need in the State; altering the

qualifications for recipients of this assistance; and

generally relating to tuition assistance to persons to
enroll in programs to teach in areas of critical need in the
State.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
