AN ACT concerning
Cecil County - Alcoholic Beverages -
Board of License Commissioners
FOR the purpose of altering the annual salary of the chairman and
the members of the Cecil County Board of License
Commissioners; and providing that this Act does not affect
the incumbent members of the Cecil County Board of License
Commissioners.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section 150(a-l)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
150.
(a-1) In Cecil County, the Board of County Commissioners
shall appoint three other persons, all of whom are to be of high
moral character and possess a sound reputation for integrity, to
constitute the board of license commissioners for the county.
The members of the board shall designate their own chairman. The
first members of the board shall be appointed for three-, four-
and five-year terms, respectively, and their successors for terms
of five years each. The board of license commissioners shall
meet at least once a month. The annual salary of the chairman is
[$900] $1,500 and the annual salary of the other commissioners is
[$750] $1,200. Each shall receive necessary expenses in
connection with his duties to be paid by the Commissioner.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to
Article III, § 35, of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may
not be construed to extend or apply to the salary or compensation
of the members of the Cecil County Board of License Commissioners
in office on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions
of this Act concerning the salary or compensation of the members
of the Cecil County Board of License Commissioners shall take
effect at the beginning of the next following term of office.
