AN ACT concerning

Prince George's County - Sheriff's
Office - Salary Alterations
PG 308-85

FOR the purpose of altering in Prince George's County the annual
salary of the Sheriff; altering the annual salaries of the
chief assistant sheriff and the assistant sheriffs by
providing a graduated annual salary scale for them in
accordance with certain grade levels currently used by the
Prince George's County government, providing certain annual
salary entrance levels for the chief assistant sheriff and
the assistant sheriffs with exceptions; clarifying language;
providing that the increase of the Sheriff's salary does not
affect the incumbent Sheriff; and generally relating to
certain salary alterations in the Prince George's County
Sheriff's office.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(r)(1) The Sheriff of Prince George's County shall :
[receive

(I) RECEIVE an annual salary of $39,500,]:
$50,000;

(I) RECEIVE AN ANNUAL SALARY OF:

1. $44,625 PER YEAR FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR
1987;

2. $49,750 PER YEAR FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR
1988;

3. $54,875 PER YEAR FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR
1989; AND
