LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 8

third and fifth sentences of (e) and the first clause
of the first sentence of § 19(a)(1).

In the introductory language of subsection (a) of this
section, the defined term "real property" is
substituted for the former words "real estate", for
clarity.

Also in the introductory language of subsection (a) of
this section, the former references to "assessing" and
"assessed" are deleted as misleading.

In subsection (a)(2) of this section, the word
"buildings" is deleted as included in the broad term
"improvements".

In subsection (b) of this section, the defined term
"supervisor" is added to clarify that a supervisor, in
addition to the Department, may require real property
revaluation for certain property.

Also in subsection (b) of this section, the phrase
"shall value" is substituted for the former phrase "to
maintain and enforce a continuing method of ...
revaluation", for brevity and clarity.

Also in subsection (b) of this section, the former
phrase "in every county and Baltimore City" is deleted
as superfluous.

In the introductory language of subsection (c)(1) of
this section, the phrase "if any of the factors ...
causes a change in the value of real property" is
added for clarity.

Also in the introductory language of subsection (c)(1)
of this section, the former words "reviewed,
physically inspected", are deleted as unnecessary in
light of the word "revalued" and to conform to
terminology used throughout this subtitle.

In subsection (c)(1)(i) through (iv) of this section,

the former references to "of the property", "on the

property", and "to the existing property" are deleted
as superfluous.

In subsection (c)(1)(iv) of this section, the defined
term "value" is substituted for the former reference
to "the previous assessment", for clarity.

In the introductory language of subsection (c)(2) of
this section, the defined term "supervisor" is added
for accuracy.
