(2)  A member appointed to fill a vacancy in an
unexpired term:

(i) Shall have the same qualifications as his
predecessor; and

(ii) Serves only for the remainder of that term
and until a successor is appointed and qualifies.

(3)  THE STUDENT MEMBER:

(I) MAY BE FROM A PUBLIC OR PRIVATE INSTITUTION
IN THE STATE;

(II) MAY BE FROM A HIGH SCHOOL, COLLEGE, OR
UNIVERSITY IN THE STATE;

(III) SHALL BE A FULL-TIME STUDENT;

(IV) SHALL HAVE FULL VOTING RIGHTS; AND

(I) SHALL BE A FULL-TIME STUDENT IN A PUBLIC OR
PRIVATE HIGH SCHOOL, COLLEGE, OR UNIVERSITY IN THE STATE;

(II) SHALL BE ENROLLED AS A SENIOR IN HIGH
SCHOOL OR AS A STUDENT IN A COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY IN THE STATE
DURING THE TERM OF THE APPOINTMENT;

(III) SHALL BE A NONVOTING MEMBER; AND

(V) (IV) SHALL SERVE FOR 1 YEAR BEGINNING ON
SEPTEMBER JULY 1.

(d) Each member of the Board:

(1)  Serves without compensation; and

(2)  Is entitled to reimbursement for expenses in
accordance with the Standard State Travel Regulations.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.
