TESTING, EXCEPT AS TO HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS, AND THEN ONLY TO
AVOID DUPLICATE SCREENING AS CONFIDENTIAL MEDICAL RECORDS AS
PROVIDED IN § 13-109 OF THIS ARTICLE.

(B) THE DEPARTMENT SHALL ISSUE AN IMMUNIZATION CARD TO THE
INFANT:

(1) AT THE TIME OF DISCHARGE FROM THE HOSPITAL; OR

(2) IF THE INFANT IS NOT DELIVERED IN A HOSPITAL, AT
THE TIME OF REGISTRATION OF BIRTH.

18-505.

(A) A LABORATORY SHALL NOTE THE DATE OF EACH CORD BLOOD
SCREENING FOR AN INFANT THAT THE LABORATORY PERFORMS.-

(B) CORD BLOOD EVALUATIONS SHOULD BE DONE ONLY BY A

LABORATORY THAT PERIODICALLY UNDERGOES STANDARD PROFICIENCY

QUALITY TESTING.

(A) THE DEPARTMENT SHALL DESIGNATE ANY TYPE OF BLOOD TEST
FOR SICKLE CELL ANEMIA TO-BE ADMINISTERED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE.

(B) THE BLOOD SHALL BE TESTED ONLY BY A LICENSED LABORATORY
THAT PERIODICALLY UNDERGOES STANDARD PROFICIENCY TESTING FOR
QUALITY ASSURANCE.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1985.

(House Bill 109)

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore County - Alcoholic Beverages License Renewal

FOR the purpose of prohibiting the Baltimore County board of
license commissioners from renewing an alcoholic beverages
license until the applicant presents certain proof that
certain County and State taxes are not due by the applicant;
and repealing a provision of law allowing a renewal of a
license in Baltimore County provided the board receives
certain information by a certain date.
