AN ACT concerning                                 

Cecil County - Road and Bridge Work

FOR the purpose of providing that certain sums available for
public road and bridge work in Cecil County may be
transferred from the allowable expenditure account of one
commissioner to that of another commissioner under certain
circumstances; and generally relating to the financing and
procurement of road and bridge work in Cecil County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 8 - Cecil County

1-17.

(a)  Any expenditure made under this section is subject to
the provisions of Section 37A of Article 25 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland.

(b)  For the purpose of the supervision of the public roads
and bridges in Cecil County, each county commissioner shall have
control and jurisdiction over the commissioner district for which
[he] THE COMMISSIONER is elected, subject to the [following]
regulations and restrictions[:] PROVIDED IN THIS SECTION AND ANY
OTHER APPLICABLE LAW.

(1) [He] EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPHS (2) AND (3)
OF THIS SUBSECTION, A COMMISSIONER shall be limited in his
expenditures on the roads and bridges in any 1 year in [his
commissioner] THE COMMISSIONER'S district to one-third of the
amount levied for roads and bridges in the county; said levy
shall not exceed thirty-five cents on the one hundred dollars of
the entire tax levy for the county.
