1836                                         LAWS OF MARYLAND                                     Ch. 173

(1)  THE AUTHORITY; AND

(2)  THE POLITICAL SUBDIVISION THAT IS TO BE SERVED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the eighth sentence of
former HE § 9-908(a) -- as that sentence relates to
the sale of bonds -- and the third sentence of (d).

In subsection (a)(1) of this section, the reference to
"unit of the State government" is substituted for the
former reference to "department, division, commission,
board, bureau, or agency of this State", for clarity.
The term "unit" is used as a general term for an
organization in the State government, because "unit"
is broad enough to include all of- these entities..

9-934. SAME — SPECIAL PROVISIONS IN ALLEGANY COUNTY, DORCHESTER
COUNTY, AND MIDDLETOWN IN FREDERICK COUNTY.

SUPERVISORS IN EACH POLITICAL SUBDIVISION SHALL DO WHATEVER IS
NECESSARY AND PROPER TO SUBMIT THE QUESTION TO A REFERENDUM OF
THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE POLITICAL SUBDIVISION.

(C)  QUALIFIED VOTERS.

INDIVIDUAL WHO:

COUNTY ELECTIONS IN THE AREA.
