THE TAPPING FEE IS IN ADDITION TO ANY CHARGES THAT THE
AUTHORITY MAKES FOR RENTAL OR USE OF ITS PROJECTS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former HE §
9-906(b)(17).

Throughout this section, the references to "project"
are substituted for the former reference to "water or
sewer system" and added for clarity in light of the
definition of "project" in § 9-901 of this subtitle.

9-923. ACCEPTANCE AND USE OF GRANTS, AID, AND CONTRIBUTIONS.

AN AUTHORITY MAY ACCEPT:

(1)  FROM A FEDERAL AGENCY, ANY GRANT TO AID IN THE
CONSTRUCTION, ACQUISITION, OR OPERATION OF A PROJECT; AND

(2)  FROM ANY SOURCE, AID OR A CONTRIBUTION OF MONEY,
PROPERTY, LABOR, OR ANY OTHER THING OF VALUE FOR ANY STATED
PURPOSE.

9-906(b)(16).

9-924. ANNEXATION OF PROPERTY OF AUTHORITY.

IF A POLITICAL SUBDIVISION THAT IS NOT A MEMBER OF AN
AUTHORITY ANNEXES REAL PROPERTY THAT IS SERVED BY THE AUTHORITY,
THE AUTHORITY MAY CONTINUE TO DO BUSINESS ON AND EXERCISE
JURISDICTION OVER ITS PROPERTIES AND FACILITIES OVER ITS ANNEXED
REAL PROPERTY AS LONG AS:

(1)  ANY BOND OR INDEBTEDNESS OF THE AUTHORITY IN
EFFECT AT THE TIME OF THE ANNEXATION REMAINS OUTSTANDING OR
UNPAID; OR

(2)  ANY CONTRACT OR OTHER OBLIGATION OF THE AUTHORITY
IN EFFECT AT THE TIME OF THE ANNEXATION CONTINUES IN FORCE.

9-906(b)(18).

Throughout this section, "real property" is
substituted for the former reference to "lands, areas,
or territory", for clarity.

9-925. RECORD OF RECEIPTS, EXPENSES, AND EXPENDITURES; AUDIT AND
FINANCIAL STATEMENT; EXAMINATION AND AUDIT OF BOOKS AND RECORDS.
