AN ACT concerning

Baltimore County Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Harford,
and Howard Counties and Baltimore City - Sunday
Closing Laws - Exception

FOR the purpose of allowing wholesale and retail establishments
in Baltimore County Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Harford, and
Howard Counties and Baltimore City to conduct business on
all the consecutive successive Sundays between Thanksgiving
and December 25.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

Section 534L-l(b), 534N-2(b), 534R(a), and 534W-1(5)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

534L-1.

(b) (1) IN BALTIMORE CITY, THE [The] provisions of §
534L do not apply on the four consecutive successive Sundays that
immediately precede December 25.

(2) IN BALTIMORE COUNTY, THE PROVISIONS OF § 534L DO
NOT APPLY ON ALL THE SUNDAYS THAT OCCUR BETWEEN THANKSGIVING DAY
AND DECEMBER 25.

(b) The provisions of Section 534N-1 do not apply on [the 4
consecutive Sundays that immediately precede] ALL THE SUNDAYS
THAT OCCUR BETWEEN THANKSGIVING DAY AND December 25.

534R.

(a) In Harford County, except as specifically provided
herein, it is unlawful on Sunday, except on [the four Sundays
preceding] ALL THE SUNDAYS THAT OCCUR BETWEEN THANKSGIVING DAY
AND December 25 in each year, for any person, firm, partnership,
or corporation to conduct business for profit in the usual manner
and location or to open an establishment to the general public,
